Mark Russinovich | Microsoft Chief Technology Officer, Azure | @MarkRussinovich

Mark Russinovich, Microsoft Chief Technology Officer, Azure, earned a PhD in computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and he joined Microsoft when it acquired Winternals Software, which he co-founded in 1996. He is also author of the popular Sysinternals Windows administration and diagnostic tools. He is coauthor of the Microsoft Press Windows Internals book series, a Contributing Editor for TechNet Magazine, and a Senior Contributing Editor for Windows IT Pro Magazine. Mark is also a popular speaker at industry conferences, like Microsoft TechEd, BlackHat, and RSA Conference.

Rick Claus | Microsoft Technology Evangelist | @RicksterCDN

Rick Claus sees himself as one of those "Regular IT Guys" who currently works for Microsoft in his dream job as a Technology Evangelist. His technical background comes from being self-taught (his first computer was a Sinclair ZX81), and he has no formal university / college training in computer science. He has earned his living collecting a salary, full time, for more than 20 years in the IT field as an admin guy, consultant, trainer, coach, mentor—focusing on infrastructure technologies—mostly in the Microsoft world.

Corey Sanders | Microsoft Azure Group Program Manager | @CoreySandersWA

Corey Sanders has been a member of the Microsoft Azure team for more than three years and at Microsoft for nine years. Corey is currently the Group Program Manager that owns the Azure Compute Runtime and is actively involved in designing, development, and release of the REST API and agent components for the Azure compute stack. Corey also created and delivered the Infrastructure Services release on Azure, recently launching General Availability. Prior to Azure, Corey spent five years as a developer in the Windows Serviceability team. In Windows Serviceability, his team owned networking and install technologies of all released versions of Windows.

Matt McSpirit | Microsoft Senior Technical Product Manager | @mattmcspirit

Matt McSpirit is a Senior Technical Product Manager in the Server and Tools business, with a focus on virtualization. A Microsoft employee since January 2006, Matt's also an MCSE, MCITP: Virtualization Administrator, and a VMware VCP. He has extensive experience across a broad portfolio of both Microsoft and non-Microsoft technologies. Matt has delivered a number of high-profile events, including TechEd, MMS, the launches of Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2, and Windows Server 2012, and Private Cloud Roadshows, among many others.

Simon May | Microsoft Technical Evangelist: Infrastructure, IT Pro, Technical, Client, and Cloud | @simonster

Simon May has more than 10 years of experience in IT for financial institutions, utility, and the healthcare sector. He has done everything from helpdesk support, desktop and server support and deployment, critical issue recovery and service, and process management. He has been an Evangelist with Microsoft for four years, concentrating on how IT Professionals can embrace the enterprise mobility management and the latest devices. Simon can be found writing for Microsoft TechNet and non-Microsoft publications, on the Channel 9 Edge show, and speaking around the world.

Drew McDaniel | Microsoft Azure Principal Program Manager Lead

As Principal Program Manager Lead in the Microsoft Azure team, Drew McDaniel is responsible for leading the design and implementation of the Azure compute management and runtime interfaces. These APIs are used by IT Pros, Developers, and management UI, such as the Azure portal, to manage Azure Virtual Machines (IaaS) and Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS) applications.
