Jesse Fountain | Microsoft Worldwide Technical Lead

Jesse Fountain, Microsoft Worldwide Technical Lead, has more than 25 years of experience in the applications development of business intelligence (BI) arena, having been responsible for one of the first implementations of a VLDB for the Taco Bell Corporation in the mid-1980s, using non-relational systems. Jesse had technical and executive roles with five successful startups in the BI and data warehouse industry. He has also been responsible for implementation consulting and sales of enterprise-wide BI and analysis technology to Fortune 500 corporations.

Before the Microsoft acquisition of DATAllegro, Jesse was Vice President of Product Marketing and Proof of Concept and Customer training, with a focus on proving the value of appliance-based solutions in today's VLDB data warehousing environments. After Microsoft acquired the company, Jesse worked for the Customer Advisory Team to assist Engineering in the design, development, and testing of Analytics Platform System (formerly Parallel Data Warehouse).

Today, Jesse is a Worldwide Technical Lead with Microsoft, overseeing all technical sales operations for the Analytics Platform System (specifically POCs, partner enablement, and field readiness), and he works closely with prospects on successful implementations of Big Data.

Sanjay Soni | Microsoft Senior Technical Product Marketing Manager

Sanjay Soni is a Senior Technical Product Marketing Manager on the SQL Server Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehousing Marketing team at Microsoft. His previous Microsoft roles include Business Intelligence Evangelist, responsible for enabling self-service BI to more than 40,000 users at Microsoft. Sanjay is known for his passion and enthusiasm and for driving structure and delivering results for BI and data warehouse customers for 15 years.

Sanjay is a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) and a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), and he specializes in BI using Microsoft technologies, including Power BI, Analysis Services, Reporting Services, and SharePoint BI. Sanjay has authored and presented a variety of papers and sessions at various conferences, including Tech-Ed, BI Conference, PASS, SQL Connections, SharePoint Conference, and TDWI. Many of his papers have been published in SQL Server magazine and on various websites, including Microsoft.com and TechNet. In addition to his work internal to Microsoft, Sanjay presents regularly to customer organizations through Executive Briefings and Direct Engagements on the topics of delivering BI to the masses.

Dan Kogan | Microsoft Senior Product Marketing Manager

Dan Kogan leads marketing for the Microsoft database appliance business. In this role, Dan defines the market positioning, business strategy, and global marketing efforts for the database appliance business. He also frequently speaks with customers about their database appliance needs and is a popular speaker at executive briefing and industry events.

Dan was with Microsoft for seven years, prior to his current role. Most recently, he was based out of Singapore leading the database appliance efforts for the Asia region and, before that, he held Worldwide Product Management roles in Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Business Intelligence, and Microsoft SharePoint Server.

Before joining Microsoft, Dan was with Hitachi Consulting and specialized in customer relationship management (CRM) strategy.

Brian Walker | Microsoft Consulting Services AP CoE Architect

Brian Walker is an Architect on the Microsoft Consulting Services Analytics Platform Center of Excellence (AP CoE) team. The team has a global charter to train and mentor architects, consultants, and partners on the most effective solution architectures and data designs for the Microsoft Analytics Platform System environment. The AP CoE team also has a global remit to facilitate training, proofs of concept, and customer jumpstart sessions for pre- and post-sales engagements associated with the Microsoft Analytics Platform System product.

Brian has more than 16 years of experience in the enterprise data warehousing space, in both the Oracle and Teradata environments within the telecommunication and financial services industries. These experiences have provided a range of capabilities that spans business analytics, management information reporting, data stewardship, IT compliance, and production environment management. Brian also has extensive consulting experience focused on the implementation of massively parallel processing (MPP) enterprise data warehouse solutions leveraging the DATAllegro, and Analytics Platform System appliances in the retail, manufacturing, and financial services industry verticals. Brian continues to explore new techniques to increase performance and manageability of the end-to-end processing of data in an enterprise data warehouse solution.
