Matthias Shapiro, Program Manager and Technical Evangelist, TED DPE, builds demos and sample apps for Windows and Windows Phone and aims to be generally knowledgeable as he helps developers learn the basic and advanced tips and tricks of Windows Phone development.

Matthias has developed a variety of mobile apps on iOS, Android, and Windows Phone, but he has been developing primarily for Windows Phone since the Windows Phone 7 release. He also has a passion for information visualization, and he has spoken and written extensively on the subject.

Andy Wigley | Microsoft DPE Technical Evangelist | @andy_wigley

Andy Wigley joined Microsoft in 2012 and works as a Technical Evangelist for Microsoft UK, to support developers creating mobile apps on Microsoft platforms. He is a prominent member of the mobile app developers' community and was named a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for 10 consecutive years.

Andy has co-authored and delivered every series of Windows Phone JumpStart videos, from the first series for Windows Phone 7, through 7.1 and 8.0, and now 8.1. The earlier series are available on He has also written a number of books for developers published by Microsoft Press and is a regular speaker at major industry conferences.
